Project Celica: Engine Stalled

Things not really going well for me in 2012. The first problem I faced was my Celica having problem just few days before Chinese New Year. Most important is I found out the problem just one day earlier before I had my journey back to my home town.

The problem happen after the first start and rev of my engine. After that, every time I started my Celica, the engine stalled after a few seconds. It revved till 2k rpm and then slowly die off. When I tried to press the fuel pedal, it gave me the feeling that the fuel was not pumping into the engine. Tried to ask around as well as from newcelica.org from US and Celica Club Malaysia, the answers are most probably fuel pump not working as per expected or the fuel filter. Hopefully this is the reason causing it and the repair cost is cheap. Thus, I need a flatbed tow truck now to send my Celica to my mechanic for repair. Sigh...

Toyota Prius GT300 race car

The Toyota GT300 race car was first reported on late last year, at the time we were limited to a few unconfirmed renderings. Now we get a chance to look at the the real thing as it was displayed at the 2012 Tokyo Auto Salon.

Team APR are responsible for this particular model and it features the full aerodynamic body kit which leaves it barely recognisable as a Prius. Under the hood , a near 300hp power unit is hiding to put it within the GT300 regulations, a far cry from the 134hp (100 kW / 136 PS) produced by the production model.

Honda unveiled The All New Honda NSX

Honda has unveiled the much anticipated NSX Concept at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit today. Looking almost identical to Tony Stark's Acura on the film set of The Avengers, Honda of America spokesman Gary Robinson said the vehicle was a, "one-off, fictional car that was made just for the movie and will not be produced."

Regardless, the new NSX concept is a hearty preview of a very real production vehicle which Honda says will launch in the next three years. Remarkably, the NSX will be developed by Honda R&D Americas and manufactured in Ohio for export around the world! Just like the original NSX from the early 1990s, the next-generation supercar will have a mid-mounted V6 engine, make use of lightweight materials and include
