DIY: 4A-GE 20 Valves VVT ECU indicator

A lot of owner for the 4AGE 20V will wonder when the VVT actually activate. There are not many products in the market that able to tell the owner when VVT is activated. Even there is a product, it will not cost cheap and it is not worth to buy a product which only for display purpose or less function. However there is a cheaper way to DIY (do it yourself) VVT activation indicator.

Basically, this shows that how we can install a LED as an indicator when the VVT is activated. The VVT will activate from 1500 rpm till engine redline. This is good to show that whether the VVT system is working or not.

Continue for the picture that show how you connect the wiring.

Project Satria: Satria Met An Accident

During the way to Technoplex (Motorola Factory) and it was rainy day plus traffic jam. When the time I want to stop my car and did not realized that there was oil on the road and unfortunately my car slipped and "kiss" with the car in front of me.

Damages on my car are front bumper, front bonnet, and radiator. Luckily my intercooler and headlamp are still safe from this incident. My car still able to start that time, if go for tow truck will definitely cost a lot. However, I needed to top up the water because of leaking radiator during the way I drive back to my condo. What I can say is luckily I did not respray my damaged bumper earlier which I plan to.

Project Celica: Toyota Celica ICE Upgrade

After 2 weeks I brought back my Celica, can't stand the feeling of no entertainment in car and a big ugly hole at the center console. Therefore I decided to install a new player for my car. After a long research, finally I decided to grab a touch screen DVD player manufactured by Panasonic. Reason of choosing Panasonic is because I did have a Panasonic player installed to my Proton Saga and it is still working until now where it is almost 8 years.

Chosen the Panasonic CQ-VD6503U where it is a double din DVD player with touch screen functionality and come with a remote control. It supports DVD, VCD, CD, MP3, Ipod and etc which to me is more than enough. Besides that, it does come with GPS and reverse camera functions but an add on device is needed to enable these features to run properly.
